The 2012 Austeam Grand National ARCA Series has been announced

Points

As most of you are aware, NASCAR went to a new points system this year, and that is able to be transposed over to our scoring system.
Penalty points will be adjusted (down) accordingly, but the system is basically as follows.

In addition to the points allocated:

* Any driver who leads a lap during a race receives one bonus point.

* The driver who leads the most laps receives an additional one bonus point.

* The race winner receives three bonus points.

Maximum points per race: 48

Track Pack and Setups

The files listed below are all required files/tracks that will be used for the entire 2012 season (458mb). Releasing them this early is to allow fun runs and some offline testing should the itch take you.
Also attached are all of the setups I used throughout the 2011 series, for you all to use as base setups. You’ll need to adjust them to suit your own driving style, but they will get you up to speed easily and level out the playing field for all competitors.

We do need to thank Karl Pesenhofer for hosting this track pack for us.

Rule Changes

For 2012, there will be no requirements to signal your pit intent upon entering the pits. This opens up further gamesmanship and increased pit strategy. However, there will still be a requirement to signal your leaving the pits, as a safety requirement.
The rules package has also been revamped, with all penalties being aligned with the new points system, and all infringements being penalised by some means. Financial penalties have been increased to compensate for the smaller loss of points.

Further Series Information

Once the Trucks are released, they will also be merged into the ARCA Car series on a rotating basis. This will also create 3 series in one. An ARCA Car series, Camping World Truck Series and an overall Grand National Series.

For the 2012 series, there will be prizes on offer. What those prizes are will remain a secret for the time being, but it gives us all something else to race for; other than bragging rights.
Subsidised software will also be available for new drivers, however you will need to PM me for further information on this.

ARCA 2011D SERIES ANNOUNCED 2011-10-19 23:41

The Schedule for the 2011 D Series has been released, with a tweaked costings (increased fuel costs) package. The reason for early release is to allow setup builders to get working on tweaking setups.
The costings package is available below with some changes being in the starting budget. The prize money has also dropped a little further, as we continue to strive and make the racing as realistic and competitive as possible. Should the prize money formulas not work out as planned, they will be tweaked throughout the series.
In a nutshell, you still need to keep your budget above $8500 to enable you to compete in each race. That allows for your entry fee and one pit stop maximum.
The schedule is as follows.

Austeam 2011 ARCA Series Schedule
Series D

Start Date Friday, September 16th

Duquoin Fairgrounds, Duquoin, IL 1.000 clay

Austeam kicks back with the Stats once again 2011-10-19 23:33

Austeam Racing has relocated to a new SERVER provider, with this move comes some additional abilities including seeing the Austeam Stats System come alive once again, with this system we should start to see more and more Live Viewing events of our races for those interested in seeing how things are going with your favourite driver. We’re currently trialing a new league system which should see some additional areas our administration can utilise as part of the ever changing abilities in online racing.

As you will see, we have once again managed to get the Green Light status / system working which will show when our server is up it will also show other services including Teamspeak so don’t be shy in asking how this all works.

We’re even looking in to adding Arca to the systems so with more time up our sleeve let’s see what we can provide both to our members and our visitors.

Regards

SEASON 26 IS NOW OPEN 2010-02-22 18:14
Information for ARCA 2010 Series

Earnings Per Race:
Starting money for each driver per season: $125,000
Money for each lap completed: $100
Winners Purse: $10,000
Provisional Winnings: $1,000

Expenses Per Race:
Baseline damage cost: $500
Cost per pitstop: $700
Cost for DNF (Blown Engine): $2500
Cost for DNF (Suspension Failure): $1500

Laps Per Incident:
All drivers have a starting LPI of 300. Each incident cuts into your LPI until you eventually reach a LPI of zero. Once you reach zero, you'll sit out the remainder of the series (only short 8 week series) until your LPI is restarted again.
It is each drivers responsibility to maintain a clean record and to look after their LPI.

Penalties:
There is a new penalty system for 2010, as set out below.
Each race will be reviewed by Admins after each round. Each driver is to submit their XML file within 24hours of the race finish. Incidents involving Admins will be reviewed by independent Admin members
There are no suspensions, other than for violations of Club Rules; however there are penalties in the way of overall points (Calculated on a yearly basis) and also financial penalties which affect each individual driver's finances for each series.
LPI affected penalty points will be multiplied by a factor of 10
(IE: 3 penalty points loses you 30 LPI Points)
A view of the system being employed for 2010 can be seen at http://www.arcalm.com/jl01/
